Bethany Mota. 

I had heard about her here and there but never knew exactly who she was. I had seen her clothing line at Aeropostale. (I bought one of her sweaters.....super cute by the way!) I had also heard that she did make-up tutorial videos on YouTube, but that was pretty much it. 

Then on this present season of Dancing with the Stars, she was a contestant and DANG!!! She is a good! And she's only 19!! What??!!

In this video, the contestants were asked to share their most memorable moments in their lives. And Bethany chose 2009, when she 1st got into Youtube. But it was also the same time when she was being bullied in school. Even by her friends. 

This girl represents so many girls and young women these days; she is a true inspiration!

For some reason the link to this video from before isn't able to view anymore. Ah well. Here it is again.

When I saw this performance on the TV show, GLEE, it really touched my heart. It made me ask all those questions: "Would the world be a better place without me?", "Can I do this?", "What is death like?". Luckily for me, I didn't actually consider committing suicide, but there plenty of others who have. I can't imagine what that torture is like for them and their loved ones.
This is one of my favorite performances on the show and now one of my favorite songs.

I was going through my room and I found my collection of Seventeen magazines that I had. I was reading through them and found a couple stories about bullying that I thought were interesting.

For those of you who are new to following this blog, just look at the title. This is a safe place, a safe haven. An oasis. A place where you can comment, confess or just talk about troubles you have in your life. This blog is mainly concentrated a huge problem that goes in our world today, mainly for young teenagers: bullying. It can happen in all sorts of ways. All the time I hear on the news about a kid who has committed suicide because he was being bullies at a school and even celebrities who check themselves into rehab for turning to self abuse or drugs because someone hurt them. This has to stop and we need to take it seriously.
I know what it's like to be bullied. I didn't have it nearly as bad as some people but I got a Tate of what it's like. It's horrible. Even so much as someone saying that you peed your pants but you just spilled water on your pants. It's not something to joke about or take lightly. We need to come together and we need to fix this. If you're not the one being bullied, then stand up and help someone that is. Defend them. Anything. You'd be surprised how much a little act of kindness can to for someone.

For those of you who read my last post or watch the hit TV Show GLEE, you'll know this clip when you see it.
For me, this was such an intense, sad, emotional part of the episode and the whole TV show. I cannot even begin to imagine what David must have been feeling.
